Ohrid Tech City is an independent private non-profit association that connects, supports and represents local startup/tech community with a mission to promote the City of Ohrid, the region and Macedonia as an attractive startup/business/tech hub offering lucrative investment and development opportunities that generate employment, innovation and growth. 2.Startup Ohrid, Ohrid Tech City and Startup Macedonia – ecosystem platforms:

Startup Ohrid initiative is an open eco-system platform that connects, supports and represents Ohrid startup/tech community.

Ohrid Tech City is a contact point, coordinator and promoter of the stakeholder network of the Macedonian and Ohrid (South-Western Macedonia’s) startup/tech ecosystem.

Together with Startup Macedonia and other partner organizations we form and represent national alliance of (inter)connected partner organizations (network platform) that empower and support national startup, digital and tech ecosystem.

3.The university innovation ecosystem:

Our university city Ohrid and the region have excellent innovation capacity and resources, but most importantly, the talent developed at the UIST- University for Information Science & Technology St. Paul the Apostle – Ohrid and Faculty of Tourism and Hospitality - Ohrid. To exploit this potential, we are building a strong university innovation ecosystem to support founders to solve hard problems and bring deep tech innovations out of the labs and R&D departments. From 2013, we(community) have organized more than 200 meetups, lectures, and other educational and networking events in order to help students, alumni, professors, corporates and institutions create spin-off companies and tech startups, leveraging their interdisciplinarity.

4.Networking events and global impact:

Starting form 2013 Startup Ohrid and Ohrid Tech City community, have (co)organized over 200 events to drive collaboration, business growth, and technological development. City of Ohrid has been a host of  various startup/tech conferences, hackathons and other networking events: Conferences>Codefest Tech Festival – Ohrid (2014-2018 , Tech Festival and hackathon), MatchIn Summit Ohrid (startup-investor matchmaking summit), Summer Schools/Workshops>CodeQubateMe, StartQube, Global Entrepreneurship Week-Ohrid ,  Hachathons>Techstars_Startup Weekend-Ohrid , Game Jam, Game Jam + etc., Through these strategic alliances, we offer high-value connections, visibility, and access to key industry players.
