The Edu4Tourism Association of Tourism Teachers and Mentors has as its mission the strengthening of the alliance between teachers and professionals for the development of the curriculum and the promotion of jobs in this sector. Through the organized events, Edu4Tourism shows its commitment to support students and pupils in the discovery and deeper understanding of the hospitality industry. These initiatives are essential to inspire and educate future talent that will contribute to the continued evolution of tourism.
During the first 2 years of activity, the association carried out, in partnership with economic operators from the tourism industry, initiatives and events dedicated to pupils, students, teachers and specialists in tourism:
• International conferences that promote dialogue and exchange of knowledge between professionals: "Bridge the gaps! Skills for a New Tourism Ecosystem 2023", "Education for tourism. Dialogue for change, 2022", organized annually under the theme of World Tourism Day, on September 27.
• Competitions that encourage excellence in trades: WorldSkills Hotel Reception and Housekeeping 2023, 2024 and international participation Lyon 2024
• Micro training and micro learning "Hospitality workshops", workshops where specialists provide young people and teachers with current information from the industry,
• Hospitality Education Day 2023
• Hospitality Industry Open Days 2022, 2024
• Magazine "Creative workshop in tourism"
• Articles, studies, courses, guides for teachers in tourism high schools
• Annual awards for the best teachers and mentors in pre-university tourism education (theory and practice)
• Promoting young talents in tourism by participating in TV shows, mass media articles
• Summer internship for students in partnership with hotels (accounting, marketing)
• Promotion of the association by participating in national events: Rencontres Franco Roumaine du Tourisme, Congress of Economic Professors, Balneary Congress
• Action to promote jobs in tourism among disadvantaged children "Kids teaching kids" in partnership with the "Ana and children" Association Bucharest
• Member in communities and networks: Pact for Skills, CEDEFOP ("Ambassadors tackling early leaving from VET" Network, Accessible EU Community of practice
• Partnerships with the Romanian American University, ASE – Faculty of Business and Tourism, CNDIPT
Edu4Tourism, through its partnerships, plays an important role in creating opportunities for mentoring, internships and professional development, thus contributing to increasing the quality of the human resource in tourism.
