
HAVEC (HACE ASSOCIATION FOR VOCATIONAL EDUCATION AND TRAINING EXCELLENCE CENTER) is an association operating in the field of developing and disseminating innovative practices and policies in the field of vocational education and training. The aims of the HAVEC are;
Ø To support quality, innovation, and excellence in vocational education and training (VET) in Turkey and Europe,
Ø To modernize VET systems by working in line with the European Commission's vocational education and training policies,
Ø To develop the skills of individuals and institutions in line with the European Skills Agenda,
Ø To strengthen cooperation among all stakeholders in vocational education,
Ø To increase and expand the quality of vocational education through national and international projects,
Ø To promote digitalization, green transformation, inclusiveness, employment, and sustainability in vocational education.
To achieve these goals, HAVEC focuses on carrying out the following activities:
Policy Monitoring and Dissemination: To monitor and analyze Turkey's National Vocational Education Strategies and the European Commission's VET policies, and to prepare reports, seminars, workshops, and publications in line with these policies. To promote the goals of the European Skills Agenda and carry out activities to facilitate the achievement of these goals.
Training and Capacity Building: To organize educational activities such as courses, seminars, conferences, and panels. To organize training programs, courses, and workshops to develop the professional, pedagogical, and digital skills of teachers, administrators, and students working in vocational and technical education institutions. To develop specialized programs in areas such as quality assurance in vocational education, labor market-focused educational design, and digital content development.
International Projects: Developing and implementing projects and establishing partnerships within international programs such as Erasmus+, IPA, Horizon Europe, and the European Social Fund. Collaborating with European Centers of Excellence to transfer best practices to Turkey.
Employment and Labor Market Connections: Building networks with sector representatives to enhance the integration of vocational education with the labor market. Developing internships, applied training, and consultancy services to increase the employment of youth and adults.
Research and Publication Activities: Providing all necessary information, documents, and publications to achieve the objectives, establishing a documentation center, and publishing publications such as newspapers, magazines, books, and bulletins to disseminate its work. Conducting research, preparing reports, and strategy documents to contribute to the development of vocational education. Developing policy recommendations and sharing them with decision-makers.
Digital and Green Transformation: Supporting the integration of areas such as digital skills enhancement in vocational education and artificial intelligence, data literacy, and simulation technologies into the curriculum. Developing training and content aimed at equipping students with green skills in line with the European Green Deal.
Networking and Collaborations: Working in partnership with civil society organizations, universities, public institutions, and the private sector working in the field of VET. Encouraging sectoral collaborations in line with the European Education Area and European Education Policies.
