Their primary responsibilities include:

1. Organizing Conferences and Events:

Area Coordinators play a vital role in organizing conferences, seminars, workshops, and other relevant events within their designated area. These events provide valuable platforms for knowledge exchange, networking, and showcasing best practices in the field.

2. Stimulating Engagement:

Area Coordinators actively stimulate engagement and participation among network members within their area. They encourage collaboration, facilitate discussions, and create opportunities for sharing expertise, experiences, and innovative approaches.

3. Coordinating Project Proposals:

Area Coordinators lead and coordinate the development of project proposals within their area. They identify relevant funding opportunities, collaborate with members to conceptualize projects, and guide the proposal development process. Their coordination ensures effective collaboration and maximizes the chances of securing project funding.

4. Facilitating Knowledge-Sharing:

Area Coordinators contribute to the network's knowledge-sharing efforts by encouraging members within their area to contribute posts, articles, and publications. They provide guidance and support to members in sharing their insights, best practices, and research findings through various publishing platforms.

5. Supporting Collaboration:

2. INTERNATIONAL BOARD


Being appointed as a member of the Skillman International Board signifies recognition of exceptional qualifications and unwavering dedication to shared objectives. 

The role encompasses several key responsibilities:

1. Strategic Discussions and Decision-Making:

Active participation in shaping the network's growth through engaging in strategic discussions and decision-making processes. Valuable insights contribute to the identification of general policies and long-term plans.

2. Posts/Articles Publication:

Contributing posts or articles aligned with network objectives for publication on Skillman's website and relevant platforms. Sharing insights, best practices, and knowledge enhances network visibility and fosters knowledge exchange.

3. Participation in Online Meetings:

Mandatory active participation in a minimum of two online meetings per year. These meetings facilitate collaboration, discussion, and decision-making among Board Members and network participants, promoting effective coordination.

4. Organization and Leadership of Webinars:

Co-organizing and co-leading Skillman webinars on relevant topics. Informative webinars contribute to professional development and knowledge exchange within the network, fostering growth and engagement.

5. Contribution to the Annual Conference, SIF - Skillman International Forum:

Active involvement in organising and participating in the annual conference. By sharing expertise and insights, networking opportunities and knowledge-sharing within the network are strengthened.

6. Leadership of Project Proposals:

Guiding network project proposals to engage Skillman members. Effective coordination and guidance in project implementation ensure collaborative participation among organisations involved.


Appointment to the Skillman International Board is voluntary and non-remunerative. It spans a four-year term, subject to renewal. Board Members are instrumental in advancing the Skillman Network's objectives and are recognized for their valuable contributions.


3. INTERNATIONAL EXPERT


Skillman International Experts play a crucial role in providing consultation services and expertise to various prestigious organisations. These experts, who are members listed in the Skillman Roster database, offer their specialised knowledge and insights in their respective areas of expertise. 

Their functions include:

1. Consultation Services:

Skillman International Experts are sought after for their expertise and are invited to participate in consultations organised by renowned institutions. They provide valuable insights, advice, and recommendations related to education, skills development, and other relevant fields.

2. Collaboration with International Organizations:

International Experts collaborate with organisations such as the European Commission, UNESCO, ADB, and other relevant bodies on projects, initiatives, and policy development. They contribute their expertise to shape strategies, programs, and frameworks at the international level.

3. Database Inclusion:

International Experts are included in the Skillman Roster database, which serves as a valuable resource for organisations seeking experts in specific areas. By being part of the database, experts gain visibility and recognition for their knowledge and skills.

4. Skillman Participant Portal:

International Experts utilise the Skillman Participant Portal, specifically the Roster database tool, to showcase their expertise and allow organisations to search and connect with them. They maintain accurate and up-to-date information in the database, ensuring their profiles accurately reflect their areas of expertise.

5. Valorization of Expertise:

Being part of the Skillman Roster database allows International Experts to be recognized and valued for their specialised knowledge. They have the opportunity to contribute to important discussions, initiatives, and projects that have a significant impact on the field of education and skills development.

6. Knowledge Exchange and Networking:

International Experts engage in knowledge exchange and networking with other experts, practitioners, and stakeholders in the Skillman Network and beyond. They participate in conferences, webinars, and other events to share their expertise, learn from others, and build collaborative relationships.

4. GLOBAL COVES


coves.eu members, part of a transnational skills ecosystems platform, include individual CoVEs from various countries. With support from Skillman's partners, they aim to promote vocational excellence, sustainability, and ethical values beyond EU borders. The partnership comprises diverse organisations, including industry leaders and SMEs. 

Their collaborative approach strengthens interdependence and fosters innovation and sustainable competitiveness in Advanced Manufacturing. Key strengths include an ethical commitment, skills foresight exercises, SAT assessment tool, and integration with EU Tools and Smart Specialization Strategies.


5. NATIONAL BOARD


The National Board Members assume a role focused on fostering engagement and promoting the network at the national level. While their responsibilities are fewer in scope, they play a vital role in supporting the network's activities within their respective country.


Key Responsibilities:

1. National Engagement:

The National Board Member acts as a liaison between the Skillman Network and the members within their country. They facilitate communication, encourage participation, and promote collaboration among national members.

4. Coordination and Support:

National Board Members collaborate with other board members and the international team to ensure effective coordination and support for national initiatives. They assist in aligning national activities with the network's overall objectives.


While the National Board Member's responsibilities may be less extensive, their role remains crucial in fostering engagement and promoting the network's activities at the national level. By actively participating and advocating for the Skillman Network within their country, they contribute to the network's growth, collaboration, and success.


6. AMBASSADOR


Skillman Ambassadors play a pivotal role in raising awareness and promoting the attractiveness of the Skillman Network. These ambassadors are individuals and stakeholders who have demonstrated a tangible commitment to adopting and implementing the outcomes and deliverables of the network within their local or international contexts. 

Their functions include:

1. Representation and Advocacy:

Skillman Ambassadors act as representatives of the Skillman Network, embodying its principles and ideas. They advocate for the network's objectives, values, and initiatives, promoting its vision and mission to relevant stakeholders, organizations, and communities.

2. Networking and Collaboration:

Ambassadors actively engage in networking activities, forging connections and collaborations with individuals, organizations, and institutions that align with the Skillman Network's goals. They foster partnerships, exchange best practices, and facilitate knowledge sharing to enhance the network's impact and reach.

3. Promotion of Skillman Outcomes:

Ambassadors showcase the outcomes and deliverables of the Skillman Network, highlighting their significance and impact. They communicate success stories, case studies, and practical applications of the network's initiatives, both locally and internationally, to inspire and motivate others to adopt similar approaches.

4. Image Building:

Ambassadors contribute to enhancing the image and reputation of the Skillman Network. They actively promote the network through various channels, including social media, professional networks, conferences, and events. Their efforts aim to increase visibility, credibility, and recognition for the network's contributions to the field of education and skills development.
