Duration: 3 weeks Workload: 25 hours (corresponding to 1 ECTS) This certificate acknowledges the successful completion of a life skills and employability programme that strengthened participants’ self-awareness, goal setting, critical thinking, communication, and financial literacy. Building on structured modules covering employability skills, job-search strategies, CV and motivation-letter writing, networking, workplace ethics and professionalism, time management, and employee rights and responsibilities, participants develop the confidence, adaptability, and professional conduct needed to thrive in diverse work settings. Personal understanding and exploration Description Learners build self-awareness by exploring strengths, weaknesses and values, draw inspiration from guest speakers, and translate insights into clear, meaningful goals and an action plan (e.g., SMART/WOOP). Activities include reflective journaling, feedback exchange and goal-tracking. Skills ● Conduct structured self-assessments (strengths/values inventory), keep a reflective journal (Notion/Google Docs), and solicit feedback (peer/mentor). ● Set and review SMART/WOOP goals; draft a Personal Development Plan; break goals into milestones (Trello/Planner). ● Practise growth mindset and emotion regulation in response to setbacks; present a short “about me” pitch. Knowledge ● Self-concept, values clarification, strengths spotting, growth vs fixed mindset; Johari Window & basic feedback models. ● Goal-setting frameworks (SMART, WOOP), habit formation, motivation basics; ● Ethical use of personal stories and boundaries when sharing in groups. Critical thinking, communication, and financial literacy Description Learners strengthen analytical and problem-solving abilities, apply critical thinking to real-world cases, improve verbal and non-verbal communication (listening, presentations, writing), and gain foundations in personal finance and budgeting using everyday tools. Skills ● Deconstruct problems (define–ideate–test), evaluate options with criteria, recognise common biases and fallacies. ● Communicate clearly: active listening, concise emails, short talks with slides (PowerPoint/Canva), feedback loops. ● Create a simple budget in a spreadsheet (Excel/Google Sheets), track expenses, set saving goals and prioritise needs vs wants. Knowledge ● Argument structure (claim–evidence–reasoning), heuristics & biases, basic decision frameworks. ● Audience–purpose–tone, non-verbal cues, storytelling (STAR) for clarity and impact. ● Personal finance basics: budgeting methods (e.g., 50/30/20), interest, debt, saving buffers; privacy and digital etiquette in communication. Employability skills and practical applications Description Learners explore industries and roles, map strengths to opportunities, design an effective job-search strategy, and produce ATS-friendly CVs and tailored motivation letters; they practise interviews and professional follow-ups. Skills ● Research roles and employers (job boards/company sites), extract required skills, and match transferable skills. ● Draft targeted CVs and motivation letters; maintain a simple portfolio or evidence file; craft STAR examples. ● Prepare for interviews (mock Q&A, feedback), plan a search pipeline (tracking applications, networking outreach), and write thank-you/follow-up messages. Knowledge ● Hiring lifecycle, CV formats and sections, cover letter structure, interview types (behavioural, situational). ● Basics of ATS readability (layout, keywords); professional branding (LinkedIn profile essentials). ● Labour-market awareness and entry-level expectations (teamwork, reliability, communication). Entrepreneurship, networking, and workplace ethics Description Learners compare employment and entrepreneurship paths, practise self-presentation and networking, apply conflict-resolution and professional etiquette in workplace scenarios, manage time effectively, and understand core employee rights and responsibilities. Skills ● Frame a simple value proposition/elevator pitch; map a basic idea on a one-page canvas; run quick viability checks. ● Build and nurture a network (LinkedIn, informational chats), set meeting objectives, and follow up professionally. ● Handle conflicts with interest-based techniques; write clear workplace emails/chats; schedule & prioritise work (calendar blocking, Eisenhower/Pomodoro). ● Identify when/how to raise concerns; read basics of contracts, policies and codes of conduct. Knowledge ● Entrepreneurial basics (problem–solution fit, customer discovery), networking principles (give-first, reciprocity). ● Workplace ethics and professionalism (confidentiality, diversity & inclusion, respect); conflict styles and mediation basics. ● Time-management frameworks; essential employee rights & responsibilities and where to find local guidance.
