As a founding board member of the Friends of
PHARMBIOTRAC Foundation (FPF) and the chair of the Innovation and
Business Management at the Pharm-Biotechnology and Traditional Medicine
Centre (PHARMBIOTRAC), I have been using my expertise and passion to
advance the mission and vision of these organizations for over six
years.
I have a strong
background in private sector development, business planning, mentoring
and advisory services, project and program management, M&E,
curriculum development, and capacity building for small and medium
agro-enterprises, especially in the field of natural medicine and
bio-pharmaceuticals. I have also been involved in innovation incubation,
start-up grant management, institution building, agro-herbal product
value addition, value chain development, and community-academia linkages
and cooperation. I have co-founded PHARMBIOTRAC, spearheaded the
innovation incubator and business development section, and contributed
to the commercialization and conservation of traditional medicine and
medicinal species.
My goal
is to drive sustainable development and improve livelihoods and income
security through the promotion and integration of agro-herbal products
and practices in the health and agriculture sectors. I have a Master's
degree in Agricultural Science and Resource Management in the Tropics
and Subtropics, and several certificates in leadership, management,
innovation, and entrepreneurship. I have also published several papers
and reports on the use and value of medicinal plants and agroforestry
systems. I am fluent in German and English.
