ABOUT AssoDonna is a No Profit Italian Organization founded in 1995 to advocate equal opportunity in employment and to foster women’s entrepreneurship. Now based in Rome, it encourages innovation & women entrepreneurship, female innovators and women’s innovative startups anticipating future trends. Information on the activities carried out by the association can be found on the website assodonna.it. It offers contents on business and entrepreneurship world. On the website there’s also a section that contains interviews of women who have distinguished themselves in entrepreneurship. Activities and projects for gender equality Over the years, the association has carried out many training projects, European programs and initiatives and has been awarded a prize by the President of the Republic Carlo Azeglio Ciampi for the project - Women for Europe and The Charter of Fundamental Rights of the European citizen. It has organized events that were considered of great interest by local and national Boards, who granted numerous patronage, and by Media from all over Italy, that performed plenty of services, as the extensive collection press review demonstrates. Thousands of women turned to AssoDonna for their personal, professional, and entrepreneurial growth. Actually Assodonna is promoting StartupDlab (startupdonnalab.it), a digital laboratory to help women to improve entrepreneurial skills through real business development ideas. Teresa Valeri’s profile Teresa Valerio is the President of AssoDonna, startup mentor and Business Angel. She is a member of Angels4Women, a leading club in Italy investing in female startups and Angels4Impact member, incubator and investor on social impact startups. She is an experienced designer in training courses for female entrepreneurs and is also the designer of StartupDLAB, Be a Woman Company, a training path to help women in designing and developing their own business. She graduated in Germanic Languages and Literature in Naples and expanded and furthered studies in other disciplines in the Netherlands, United Kingdom and the United States. Teacher of foreign languages, she left early teaching with voluntary resignation to engage in other activities. She has been engaged in finance, business consulting, local development, gender equality and female entrepreneurship. She is currently living and working in Rome.
