For over 10 years, I have been leading the development of physical products in an Agile manner. In my previous role, I led multiple teams in Agile development of over 50 industrial products with embedded automation software. I spearheaded the transition to this new approach by establishing a "Mini Agile Factory" comprising over 190 individuals.
Within this context, I coordinated the Digital Transformation of Product Development and Knowledge Management processes.
For over 20 years, I held the position of Technical Director in various manufacturing companies, and for shorter yet significant periods, I also served as Production Director.
In search of an effective system for product development in a VUCA (volatile, uncertain, complex, ambiguous) environment, I found compelling and winning features in the Agile approach: power, humanity, and sustainability. Since 2008, I have been adapting it to physical product development by integrating it with other practices.
I have devised an Agile-based approach to physical product development that incorporates Lean, Waterfall, and other practices. By breaking down barriers between offices and the workshop, I have transformed them into an elastic, creative, and human artisanal system capable of swiftly translating ideas into valuable and successful products.
I have named this new approach the Agile Factory.
