“DiTES (DIgital Technologies, Education and Society)” is a public Research Centre located in Italy. Its aim is to provide a research and experimentation space within the “Link Campus University” in Rome, a space dedicated to themes related to education, lifelong learning and guidance as well as the use of new technologies in different learning contexts. All our activities will be implemented for and with schools and all the public and private actors needed, institutional and collective, and interested in the centrality of education in all its declinations: education, training, labour, accompaniment, edutainment, active citizenship. The inspiring principles on which are based the activities of the Research Centre include: – an added value to networking considered as a continuous attention towards the creation of bridges among different worlds as for e.g. the world of education, the world of work, local and territorial contexts as elements of change and cultural innovation; – a people-centred approach in all processes of digitalisation, with the final goal to identify and favour in a more concrete way social innovation; – a multidisciplinary approach, with the aim to create a connection, in a logic of chain, form research to education, involving the whole society and the world of work. Our final goal is to meet the needs of young people and adults in an increasingly complex and uncertain world, during a period of ongoing policy changes in all educational and training domains and policies. The main objectives of the Research Center Digital Technologies, Education and Society is to valorise new technologies and its connected challenges with a view to empowering individuals, organisations and society, as a whole. Throughout: – the production and dissemination of scientific knowledge, – the participation in bits, calls and research projects, – the establishment of a Permanent Observatory on “digital education, research – the promotion in Public domains, agencies, companies and connected bodies, – the participation in the creation of networks with stakeholders involved in similar areas of interest, – the awareness raising of public opinion on promotional activities linked to the mentioned fields of research”, ect. Our final goals are to foster our contribution and involvement in European initiatives, programmes and projects. In particular, in line with our experience and expertise related to EU project management and in relation to the new Calls of the Erasmus+ Programme for 2019, we are in the phase of finalising some new project proposals that we would like to submit at forthcoming deadlines. We work on two main themes: – “lifelong learning with a lifelong guidance approach” – and “new technological innovation and its impacts on education”.
