Although I have worked within a diverse range of industry sectors, I have particular expertise in central, regional and municipal governance, rural development, oil & gas, tourism, water & sanitation (WATSAN, WASH), waste, biodiversity and ecosystem services, forestry & agriculture, harbours & marinas, road, rail, air & sea transport, power and energy, construction, telecommunications and urban development. My experience includes climate change vulnerability, impact and risk assessment, water, food, energy and land security, circular, green and blue economies, environmental and social impact assessment, strategic environmental assessment, coastal zone management, HSE management systems and ISO 14001, environmental training, monitoring and evaluation (ex-ante, mid-term, post-) due diligence and environmental auditing, risk assessment, policy guidance, public consultation, training and capacity-building, and working with shareholders and funding agencies.
I hold a PhD in ecology, geology, and chemistry and am a member of several professional bodies; Royal Society of Biology, Energy Institute, Institute of Environmental Management and Assessment, and the Chartered Institution of Water and Environmental Management.
