Coordinator Policy & Knowledge Transfer at Assembly of European Regions. The Assembly of European Regions is the largest independent network of regional authorities in wider Europe. AER offers a space for mutual-learning, to improve policymaking. We help regions to be a driving force for political, economic and social development. To this end, AER fosters interregional cooperation: collaborating on common projects, sharing and transferring best practices, lobbying on shared political goals. I provide knowledge management support to our member regions, in particular strategic intelligence, best practices sharing and transfer. The thematic Committees of AER, which I coordinate, are the place where policymakers can share challenges, enablers and barriers for regional policy innovation. The role of the thematic Committees is crucial in providing a trusted environment for knowledge exchange and organisational learning as well as to highlight regional practices. The tasks I perform include: -capacity & community building -strategic intelligence -strategic communication (writing articles, facilitating workshops, peer reviews and P2P meetings) -facilitation of cross-cultural working groups -organisation of major international events in our member regions
