 Kaylash is an International consultant in education and training and has over the past 30 years served in various senior leadership capacities. Following the years spent in the private sector, he went over to the Technical, Vocational, Educational and Training (TVET) sector where he has served as CEO of the Mauritius Qualifications Authority, the regulatory body of TVET sector from 2006 to 2014. Under his leadership the National Qualifications Framework (NQF) was firmly integrated in the Mauritian Education system as well as the mechanism for Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL) was successfully developed and implemented.


 Over the years Kaylash has received several national and international awards and honours for his innovative approach to HR and organisational excellence including, being  elevated by the President, Republic of Mauritius, as Officer of the Star and Key of the Indian Ocean (O.S.K.) in 2008 for Distinguished Services in the Education Sector, the Knighthood award ‘Chevalier dans L’Ordre des Palmes Academiques’ by the French Government in September 2009, Recipient of Global HR Leadership Award in February 2010, IFTDO Global Human Resource Development Award 2010 in Knowledge Management in April 2010 and Honorary Fellowship of Organisation of Tourism and Hospitality Management (UK). Kaylash is also Guest Professor at Nanjing University, China.


 Kaylash has also been very active at the international and regional forefront, being the Chairperson of the Transnational Qualifications Framework (TQF) Management Committee from 2008 to 2015. He has recently developed the Higher Education Qualifications Framework for Malawi and piloted a model for Recognition of Prior Learning in higher education for Madagascar.


 Since 2014 Kaylash has been working as an International Consultant in Education and Training on short term assignments in TVET and Higher Education in several countries for international organisations such as UNESCO, International Labour Office, Commonwealth of Learning, European Training Foundation, GIZ, Agence Universitaire de la Francophonie and Agence Francaise de Development.


 His expertise lying in the domain of Education and Training reforms, Kaylash has also been invited to attend and contribute to several conferences and workshops, both in Mauritius and internationally.
