Professor Rupert Maclean AO, PhD: Currently QAPCO Professional Chair in Vocational Studies, and concurrently UNESCO Chair on Technical and Vocational Education and Training and Sustainable Development, College of the North Atlantic-Qatar. Previously Chair Professor of International Education, UNESCO Chair in TVET and Lifelong Learning, and Director of the Centre for International Education and Lifelong Learning at the Education University of Hong Kong. Foundation Director of the UNESCO-UNEVOC International Centre for TVET, Bonn, Germany. Professor Maclean has extensive experience working in developing countries, particularly in Asia and the Pacific. Areas of expertise include: skills development for employability (TVET), the reform of secondary education, teacher education, university level education, and curriculum reform.
