Stefania Capogna is an Associate Professor and Chair of Business Communication at Link Campus University in Italy. She is also the founder and director of the Digital Technologies, Education & Society research centre and of the academic journal "Quaderni di Comunità". People, education and welfare in society 5.02.
She is also the coordinator of the master's degree "Policies and Tools for the Management and Enhancement of human resources" (in its XI edition) at the Department of Education Sciences, Roma Tre University, Italy.
In her research, she examines the education system as a unitary macro-sector in which education-training-university-work converges. In recent years, she has focused on the transformations induced by the digital revolution, with two privileged lines of intervention: a) social effects of the digital revolution on people, organizations and community; b) empowerment for people, organizations and communities.
Stefania Capogna is a sociologist. He finished her PhD (2004) and had several visiting experiences (Open University of Catalonia in Spain, Institutul International de Management IMI-NOVA, in Moldavia; Technicka Univerzita v Kosiciach, in Slovakia; UNIVERSITY OF Klaipeda in Lithuania).

Her published research covers many topics, particularly the organizational transformations that characterize the school system, Higher Education and health care. She is particularly interested in the topics of evaluation and quality assurance processes.
Recently, her interest has turned to studying the methodological challenges posed to social research by the diffusion of big data, and the Stakeholder Consultation Group (SCG_EU)
