For 22 years, Mr. Torsten Kietz was engaged in mechatronic within the German apprenticeship system and in the technical and vocational training sector developing concrete solutions to address skills challenges in Europe and in several Asian and African countries such as Afghanistan, Egypt, Ghana, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Mongolia, Russia, Turkey and Vanuatu. The development of the competency-based training and the examination materials in the metalworking and automotive sector is one of the main specializations that brought Mr. Kietz to deeply understand and know the current situation of the workforce in relation to the skill shortages and the training needs in the steel sector. Mr. Kietz has concretely deployed for many years, several ground analyses on skills needs developing a consistent number of curricula and training programmes in mechatronic and for this reason owns a relevant knowledge on the existing solutions and the best practices for the steel sector. He is able to design and manage solutions that also address the digitalization area including digital coding, database development and administration of servers and networks. Since 1996, he has the master certificate for car mechatronics. He is a member of the Chamber of Trade in Germany and member of the Automotive Craft Guild in Germany.
