More than 27 years of professional experience working in the field of TVET reform policy development and implementation, analysis of labour market training needs, Life Long Learning, HRD and Local Partnership development in an institutional environment and international projects in economies in transition. Highly knowledgeable in EU-funded projects (IPA, Budget Support, Grant Schemes) procedures and programme management. Familiar with the updated PRAG manual and the Budget Support Guidelines. Track-record includes numerous assignments as Team Leader and TVET expert for EU-funded projects with emphasis on conceptualisation, design and implementation of youth, education and vocational training programmes in small islands and developing countries ("VET Reform Programme" in Slovakia,  “Development of Qualifications Framework” in Bosnia and Herzegovina"Enhancement of Human Resources" in West Estonian Islands, “Development of further education in Czech Republic”, “Support to VET, Labour Market and LLL Systems in the northern part of Cyprus”, etc.). Monitoring and evaluation missions in e.g. China, Western Balkans, Palestine, Turkey, Tunisia. The development and implementation of Education Policies and Concepts are one the main fields of expertise. Coming from the employers´ world into the VET system in 1986, a strong involvement of the business sector and sound cooperation models between schools and employers were targeted from the early start of work. Development and implementation of models for financing of the TVET system were inherent to enhance competence based education, training and retraining concepts. Extensive knowledge on current topics in TVET (such as Competence Based Curriculum Development, European Qualifications Framework and Lifelong Learning), teacher training, assessment approaches and practice as well as capacity building within educational institutions. Furthermore, qualified in quality management for educational institutions according to the standards of the European Foundation for Quality Management (EFQM). Highly experienced with project management and supervision, reporting, financial resource management and reporting, monitoring, evaluation and control of EU-funded projects as well as with international team building and team leading. Guest lecturer at the Eastern Mediterranean University in Entrepreneurship, Innovation and Creativity. Fluent in English and Dutch is the mother tongue.
